On May 4th-6th, the collegiate road race season 2018 came to an end at the National Championships in Grand Junction, CO. NMSU was represented by Marcel Berger who participated in the 15 miles time trial competition finishing 4th place.
The 2018 road season was one of the best for our Aggies in recent years. In April, Gordon MacDonald & Scott Powers could win the southwest collegiate team time trial championships at the 505 classics in Albuquerque and later that month, Marcel Berger added wins in the road race & individual time trial championships at the Javelina Chase in Duncan, AZ. Congratulations, Aggies!!!
The NMSU Cycling Club sends out a big thank you to our sponsors and supporters of this year’s season, Taos Mountain Energy Bars, Jaguar – Land Rover Albuquerque by Chad Patterson, Zia Velo Cycling, Outdoor Adventures, Gila Hike & Bike, Cementek, Landmark Mercantile, and Optimum Health & Rehab LLC. Without your support the racers of our small club could not pursue their athletically goals and achievements. Thank you so much!!!
